We took a few minutes at the beginning of class to address any questions about the previous day's homework, followed by the students handing in their homework. After that we started our next topic: the division of monomials by monomials. Notes and examples from that topic can be found here .
Once that was done the students were given the remainder of class to work on Wednesday's homework, which was polynomial sheet P-9 questions 1-16. While the students work, we had the good fortune to stream part of CNN's coverage of the inauguration coverage and play it in the background.
