Since I was home ill yesterday, everyone had a little more time work on our last few assignments. Today was an interesting day, because on my way to work I heard about the rejection of the recent auto bailout due to the Republican and Democratic sides of Congress failing to come to an agreement about the autoworker's union. I thought this might have an impact on a lot our stocks, so I posted an article I found on the cbc website and we used it as a starting point for some discussion.
Following that we all grabbed laptops and checked in on our stocks. To no one's surprise, most of use had taken a hit in our portfolios. Weeks five and six of the stock market challenge are due for Monday.
